Survey: Opinions of political parties continue to sour SAN FRANCISCO – (INT) – More Californians say the time has come for a third political party.
A statewide survey by the Public Policy Institute of California (PPIC) found more people becoming disenchanted with the state of national politics and both the Democratic and Republican parties. Three fourths of those Californians surveyed gave the GOP an unfavorable review and 55 percent of the Democratic party. The share of Californians with unfavorable views of both parties has spiked in the last four years. In the Inland Empire, sixty-one percent of adults with some college education view the Democratic party unfavorably. Seventy-two percent of those Californians who responded to the PPIC think the nation needs a third party. Story Date: March 27, 2024
