Unemployment claims: Ranks of job-seekers grows
INLAND EMPIRE - (INT) - The latest rate of unemployment across the Inland Empire is unchanged, but the ranks of those looking for work is growing.

More people are looking for a job in Riverside and San Bernardino counties than at any time in almost 2-and-a-half-years.

The California Employment Development Department (EDD) reports that just over 120-thousand people filed jobless claims across the Inland Empire in February. Still, the jobless rate held steady at 5-point-5 percent. It has been at or above 5 percent since last summer.

As for the job-seekers, the EDD estimates there were more than 120-thousand in February. That’s the most since October 2021.
