COLTON – (INT) – A suspect in a series of armed robberies is the latest individual killed in a rash of unrelated officer-involved shootings across the Inland Empire.

A Riverside County sheriff’s SWAT team armed with a search warrant surrounded a home in Colton Wednesday (March 27th) where the suspect had holed up. When he began shooting, lawmen returned fire.

The man was found dead inside the home on North Vista Way. A gun was found near his body;

There were no injuries to law enforcement personnel.

There have been four deadly officer-involved killings in San Bernardino County since March 9th.
