Planned Parenthood project in downtown Fontana faces headwind
FONTANA – (INT) – The City of Fontana is fighting a challenge by the Planned Parenthood against a temporary moratorium on building permits in the downtown area.

“The temporary moratorium allows us the necessary time to conduct a thorough study aimed at revitalizing Downtown Fontana,” said Mayor Acquanetta Warren.

Planned Parenthood argues the moratorium is “illegally blocking the construction of a Planned Parenthood health center.”

Mayor Acquanetta responds that the moratorium “allows us the necessary time to conduct a thorough study aimed at revitalizing Downtown Fontana.” "The City makes its best effort to engage in thoughtful community planning, which is paramount in shaping the future of our downtown area,” the mayor said.
