Sheriff: Deputy joined outlaw motorcycle gang
TWENTYNINE PALMS – (INT) – A San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputy finds himself on the wrong side of the law.

Prosecutors filed an assortment of felony charges Thursday (April 4th) against Deputy Christopher Bingham, a known associate of an outlaw motorcycle gang known as OMG.

An investigation was launched last January when authorities learned that Bingham rode and socialized with members of the OMG. A search of his Twentynine Palms home turned up approximately 160 firearms, a grenade launcher, destructive devices, silencers and a stolen sheriff’s shotgun.

Sheriff Shannon Dicus deplored the deputy’s action. “They are alarming and inexcusable; he not only tarnishes his badge but also undermines the integrity and credibility of the entire department.”

Deputy Bingham was booked at the West Valley Detention Center in lieu of $500,000 bail.
