Who’s working remotely?
INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – The percentage of employees working remotely across the Inland Empire lag their counterparts in other areas of the nation.

CoworkingMag developed a remote worker profile for the Inland Empire and came up with these findings:

• 11.3% of the total workers aged 16+ in the Inland Empire were working either fully remotely or in a hybrid manner at the end of 2022 – below the national average of 15%

• In terms of demographics, 52.1% of the total teleworkers in the Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario MSA are female.

• Millennials make up the largest group of teleworkers, representing 37% of the total remote workforce in the area. 35% are Gen Xers, 18.8% Boomers and 7.9% Gen Z.

• Remote workers’ median income in the Inland Empire area is $55,200, with 35.5% of teleworkers earning $75,000 or more.

• 40% of teleworkers in the area have a bachelor's degree or above. The professional, scientific, management, and administrative services industry employs the greatest number of remote workers – 20.5% of the total remote workforce in the area.

• Nationally, the West boasts the highest concentration of remote workers, representing more than 17% of the total workforce.
