MORENO VALLEY - A New York man posing as a priest has been arrested in Moreno Valley on suspicion of being a serial burglar.

Sheriff’s investigators say that Malin Rostas, 45, was masquerading as ‘Father Martin’ to gain access to churches by using fraud and deception to commit theft.

Rostas was arrested April 10th for attempting to burglarize a local church. He was stopped in a vehicle used in one of the burglaries. He is also being held on an arrest warrant issued in Pennsylvania.

Law enforcement agencies across the United States have been on the lookout for Rostas.
