Grant will clear homeless encampments in San Bernardino
SAN BERNARDINO – (INT) – A 4-point-6 million dollar state grant will help San Bernardino clear homeless encampments from a 5-mile stretch of Waterman Avenue.

Mayor Helen Tran said Thursday “This funding is a significant step forward to clean up Waterman Avenue and to provide essential support and resources to individuals experiencing homelessness in our city.”

This funding will provide permanent housing for 60 individuals and assist in securing interim housing for at least 40 more unhoused individuals.

The funds were made available under an Encampment Resolution grant from the California Department of Business, Consumer Services, and Housing.

The San Bernardino project is among twenty across the state.
