Gasoline prices eclipse $5 gallon and still climbing SOUTHLAND – (INT) – A springtime run-up in gasoline prices may be running on fumes.
Oil Price Information Service (OPIS) reported that West Coast gasoline inventories are at their lowest level in two years. “Imported gasoline should be on its way to California in the next few weeks, which should help ease the upward pressure on pump prices,” according to the Southern California Auto Club’s Doug Shupe. In Riverside, the average per-gallon price is $5.32, which is 49 cents higher than last month. Statewide, the average is $5.45 compared to average national price of $3.67. Southern California prices are still advancing, but not as quickly, the Auto Club reported. Story Date: May 2, 2024
