Southland soaks up abundant rays of sun
INLAND EMPIRE - (INT) - April is winding down on a tranquil weather note.

KEY POINTS
• Warmer this week, most noticeable in the lower deserts
• Weak Santa Ana winds for Thursday and warmer for valleys and coast
• Patchy fog for the beaches and immediate coast early this week

Southern California’s weeklong weather outlook is in sharp contrast to the tornadoes, wind and hail being inflicted on the Midwest and plains states.

Forecasters are promising warm and dry weather all week. There will be some breezy winds in the mountains and deserts each afternoon and evening. Some weak Santa Ana winds could perk up on Thursday. Marine layer low clouds and fog will be confined to the coast.

The first weekend of May could feature another round of cooler and breezy weather.
