‘Stagecoach’ injected a little religion in the music fest
INDIO – (INT) – Festival goers packed it in as ‘Stagecoach’ wound up 3-days of entertainment at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio Sunday.

Headliner Eric Church raised some eyebrows when he took country music lovers to church with a set of Christian-themed songs. It was evident that not everyone was ready for some religion. His set included “Take Me to the River,” “Stand By Me,” “I’ll Fly Away,” “When the Saints Go Marching In” and even “Gin and Juice.”

In a press release issued after the show, Church said “This was the most difficult set I have ever attempted.”

In a surprise ‘Stagecoach’ duet, Lana Del Rey teamed up with Paul Cauthen to sing ‘Unchained Melody’.

Abundant sunshine beamed down Sunday replacing the blowing dust and sand that welcomed festival-goers to the Coachella Valley on Friday.
