Mead Valley Wellness Village funded, construction starts in June
MEAD VALLEY – (INT) – A planned Wellness Village in Mead Valley has taken a big step toward reality.

Riverside County Supervisors gave final approval Tuesday (April 30th) for the ground-breaking project. It’s designed to transform healthcare by integrating behavioral health treatment with medical care and social services.

The Village will feature a crisis residential behavioral health center for children and a Children’s Mental Health Urgent Care – both a first in Riverside County.

"The Wellness Village represents a major shift in how we provide healthcare and will serve as a model for the state," First District Supervisor Kevin Jeffries said.

Construction of the $580 million, 19-acre campus will begin in June at the intersection of Harvill Avenue and Placentia Avenue and be completed in 2-years.
