Spring gas price spike may have peaked
SOUTHLAND – (INT) – The springtime run-up in gasoline prices may have maxed out.

The Automobile Club of Southern California (ACSC) reports that pump prices are down for the second week in a row. In Riverside, the average per-gallon price is $5.27 which is 2-cents lower than the previous week but still 21-cents higher than last month.

The Oil Price Information Service (OPIS) reports that California refineries have been operating at above 86% of their capacity for the past two weeks.

When it comes to prices, the US Energy Information Administration believes that the country has already experienced its highest gas price point for the first half of the year.

Although California prices often go against national trends, the ACSC believes that prediction is an encouraging sign for further price drops at the pump.
