INLAND EMPIRE - (INT) - Mother Nature will show the Southland her kinder side after a weekend sidebar.

A late season weather system and an associated cold front is headed out of Southern California. A few light showers and some strong mountain and desert winds will give way to a week of drier weather and temperatures trending warmer.

There is a Wind Advisory until this evening for the mountains and deserts of Southern California.

Tonight could be quite chilly across the inland valleys, along the I-215 corridor and the northern deserts with some locations in the upper 30s.
