UC Riverside students end campus encampment
RIVERSIDE – (INT) – Students at UC Riverside reached agreement Friday with Chancellor Kim Wilcox and agreed to end their week-long demonstration.

An amended agreement stated:

-Information on UC's investments will be posted on UCR's website

-A task force will be formed to explore the removal UCR's endowment from the management of UC's investment office

-The School of Business has discontinued global programs in the USA, Vietnam, Brazil, China, Egypt, Jordan and Israel.

Earlier, Chancellor Wilcox said his campus “must continue to prioritize the purpose of the university” in spite of the student demonstrations that have rocked other colleges across the nation. Wilcox says the priorities at UCR are “teaching, research, and public service.”

UCR supports free speech, he said, “but speech and activity that disrupts campus operations is not protected.”
