INLAND EMPIRE - (INT) - Manufacturers in San Bernardino and Riverside Counties are expected to add 9,500 jobs during the current decade, a 10% increase. That's according to projections by the California Employment Development Department.

Research by Lightcast indicates strong growth ahead for several manufacturing sub-sectors, including computer and electronic products, transportation equipment, and food and beverage products.

Manufacturing accounts for more than 50-thousand jobs in San Bernardino County underscoring the Inland Empire's role as a hub for global commerce, according to the San Bernardino County Workforce Development Board.
