New air refueling tankers destined for March Air Reserve Base
MARCH AIR RESERVE BASE – (INT) – A new bird will be coming to roost at March Air Reserve Base.

The Air Force has finalized its earlier proposal to bring a fleet of KC-46A air refueling tankers to the local base replacing the 60-year-old KC-135s.

The KC-46A will be able to refuel most fixed-wing, receiver-capable aircraft. According to an Air Force spec sheet, the KC-46A can accommodate a mixed load of passengers, aeromedical evacuation and cargo capabilities.

It will provide aerial refueling support to the Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps and partner-nation aircraft.
