Which cities lead the IE’s economic performance?
INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – Three Inland Empire cities are getting high marks for their economic growth.

CoworkingCafe studied what it called the economic evolution between 2018 and 2022 and found San Bernardino ranks as the 2nd best small city for economic growth. Victorville and Menifee had strong performances in population growth and housing expansion contributing to the region’s economic success.

• San Bernardino snatched 2nd place, while Victorville and Menifee, the two other Californian cities that made their way in the top 10, ranked 6th and 8th, respectively;

• San Bernadino has the best evolution when it comes to the employment rates, growing 4%, while unemployment rates dropped the same amount, earning the city 1st spot in this category as well;

• San Bernardino also did exceptionally well in terms of median earnings, earning 3rd spot with a growth of 45%, the median salary going from $22,579 in 2028 to $32,682 in 2022;

• Victorville also stands out for its drop in unemployment rates, earning it the 3rd spot with a decrease of 3%. The city brags the 8th best growth in educational attainment (14%) and the 13th spot for the evolution of population growth and housing units, the numbers increasing 13% and 9% respectively, from 2018 to 2022;

• Menifee witnessed the 3rd highest rise in population among the small cities, the number of people growing 20% and reaching 110,378 in 2022. Housing units also went up by 16% since 2018, earning the city the 6th spot for this metric.
