Evacuation warnings lifted as new fires contained
INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – More Inland Empire residents are back in their homes after wildfires neared their neighborhoods.

The Macy Fire at Lake Elsinore was contained at 145 acres. An evacuation center was set up at Elsinore High School in nearby Wildomar. The Ortega Highway was shut down.

In San Bernardino County, the Lawton Fire kept residents in Loma Linda on edge. Areas south of Barton Road between Waterman Avenue and Mountain View Avenue were under an evacuation warning.

There were no immediate reports of structure damage.

A series of other weekend fires across the Inland Empire were limited to less than 100 acres.
