LOS ANGELES – (INT) - Eight suspects involved in smash and grab robberies at high-end retail stores in LA, Orange, and Riverside counties have been sentenced.

During a 3-month period last year, a flash mob of nine defendants staged a series of nine heists, grand thefts, and overnight burglaries throughout Southern California. Losses were estimated at over $1.7 million.

A twenty-five count felony complaint was filed against nine defendants in the Los Angeles County Superior Court.

Prison sentences ranged from three to ten years.
