Trash trucks and drivers succumb to heat
The end of the heat wave is enabling trash trucks to resume plying the streets of Riverside. 19 were knocked out of service because the trucks either overheated, were too hot for drivers to enter, or could not be refueled with compressed natural gas. City Manager Mike Futrell promises “Every effort is being made to catch up on missed routes and stay on schedule going forward.” (INT)
