Heat wave: Sensitive people have been forewarned
INLAND EMPIRE - (INT) - Southern Californians are being reminded that summer isn’t done yet.

KEY POINTS
• Unseasonably hot temperatures are returning to the valleys, mountains and deserts and may persist into early next week.
• Locally dense morning fog for the coastal areas and beaches Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.

The National Weather Service (NWS) is warning of a heatwave building over the Western US including Southern California. Well above average temperatures for all of Inland Southern California. Some locations may see daily record high temperatures, the NWS warned. Heat Advisories and Excessive Heat Warnings will apply Tuesday through Thursday.
Expected high temperatures this week:

Inland Empire Metro: 98 to 108°
Mountains below 6000 ft: 90s
High Desert: 98 to 102°
Low Deserts: 108 to 112°

Across the Southland, the set-up is the same just more of it…and longer. Heat-sensitive people could face an adverse health risk.

Along the immediate coast, cooling night and morning low clouds and fog are expected through Wednesday. Areas of dense morning fog will shroud the coastal mesas.
