What’s the college future for California’s high school grads?
California’s undergraduate enrollment at four-year colleges and universities has soared over the past 30 years, with especially large gains at the University of California. But, community college enrollment has not kept pace.

UC Information Center data has found that community college enrollment has not kept pace, and college-going rates of recent high school graduates have fallen over the past five years primarily due to declines at the community colleges.

Mounting data and research, including that of the Public Policy Institute of California, has shown that dual enrollment is an important strategy to accelerate college readiness and success. (INT)
