Drying La Nina replaces wet El Nino
SOUTHLAND – (INT) - California is under the spell of another La Nina which could have an impact on our weather.

An opposing El Nino gave the state two consecutive winters of above-normal precipitation. But, it faded during the summer.

The Climate Prediction Center says this episode of La Nina “is likely to remain weak and have a shorter duration”. It is predicted to persist through March 2025.

While Southern California’s winter is likely to be drier, potent storms and associated atmospheric rivers could strike.
