Sunshine, warming temperatures and high tides coming
INLAND EMPIRE - Southland basks in ideal December opening.

KEY POINTS
• Patchy overnight, coastal morning fog each morning through Tuesday.
• Minor coastal flooding at the beaches in the mornings during high tides.
• Increasing Santa Ana winds for the mountains and valleys into the weekend.

Opposing high and low pressure centers will be vying for control of Southern California’s weather for the at least the next 5-days. At issue are the eastward movement of the low and the strength and placement of a developing ridge of high pressure over the West Coast.

No changes are likely until later in the week when dry northeast winds will return and combine with low humidity boosting the wild fire danger.

Temperatures will be on the rise later in the week becoming 10-15 degrees above normal for inland areas by Friday.

Patchy dense fog will develop each evening over the coastal waters, spreading inland during the overnight hours.

Astronomical 6-foot high tides through Tuesday affecting parking lots and adjacent low lying streets.
