Here are six tips: • Make sure the charity is trustworthy. Check a charity's Better Business Bureau accreditation • Be wary of relief appeals that have vague descriptions and don't explain exactly what your activities will assist. • Watch out for clickbait and phishing scams. Instead, go directly to the charity's website on your own. • Review crowdfunding requests. Some have specific requirements for crowdfunding; others don't. • Verify charity registration.
