The Public Policy Institute of California (PPIC) urges everyone from citizens to leaders, and set a course to reduce the impacts and adapt to changing conditions. -Translate climate research -Develop disaster scenarios -Prepare locally and regionally -Pursue new tools—and upgrade old ones The message in the flames is clear: people’s lives—their homes, memories, neighborhoods, health, and well-being depend on us preparing for the future climate change “like we mean it,” researchers at the PPIC ‘think tank’ proposed.
