Support for those impacted by Southern California wildfires ![]() LOS ANGELES – (INT) – The California Department of Public Health says it is expanding efforts to make things easier for Los Angeles residents to recover from the devastating fires.
Public Health Officer, Dr. Tomás Aragón, says “Public health isn’t just about supporting physical health, but also mental health, document recovery, food supply, logistics, recovery safety, and other essential needs.” It includes: - Supporting expanded capacity at health care facilities - Supporting replacement of vital documents - Ensuring continued benefits to WIC families - Addressing health risks posed by wildfires - Coordinating emergency response and recovery efforts More information is at CA.gov/LAfires –for information and resources from state, local and federal government.
