SOUTHLAND - (INT) - Inland Empire shares in generous rain and snowfall.

Rainfall totals to Thursday evening:
LYTLE CREEK 2.51
DEVORE 1.40
RIALTO 1.30
ONTARIO 0.87
BEAUMONT 1.10
TEMECULA 1.06
RIVERSIDE 0.70
RIVERSIDE (CANYON CREST) 0.91
PALM SPRINGS 0.20
HESPERIA 0.54

Snowfall totals:

MOUNTAIN HIGH 12 INCHES
RUNNING SPRINGS 5 INCHES

Leftovers from Thursday’s cold Pacific storm will linger into Friday. But the main event has passed as the atmosphere begins to wring itself dry and a return to fair weather high pressure is promised for the weekend.

At the coast, high surf is causing dangerous swimming and surfing conditions.

Temperatures will bump higher replacing some of the chilliest numbers of the season.

Another area of unsettled low pressure will bisect the Southland Monday and Tuesday bringing another chance of precipitation. This system does not look as strong as the one moving out. So, precipitation should be fairly light. By mid-week, drier weather will settle in for a longer stay as spring makes its debut.
