Falling gasoline prices near the bottom
SOUTHLAND – (INT) – Falling gasoline prices may be running on fumes.

After four straight weeks of declining pump prices, the Automobile Club of Southern California (ACSC) finds the average price for a gallon of 87 octane regular in Riverside is slowing to $4.49 compared to the statewide average of $4.64. It’s a 2-cent-a-gallon decrease over the previous week. The average per-gallon price is 36 cents lower than a year ago.

Supplies are improving. California Energy Commission data shows four straight weeks of increased gasoline inventory and increased refinery production.

The Auto Club reasons that “there doesn’t appear to be momentum for prices to increase dramatically any time soon.”
