BIG BEAR – (INT) – Two of the surviving Big Bear bald eaglets have names.

Friends of Big Bear Valley announced the pair will be known as ‘Sunny’ and ‘Gizmo’.

Thousands of names were submitted and the final choices were made by students at Bear Valley Elementary School.

A third eaglet who perished in a snowstorm was to have been named ‘Misty’.

All three and their parents gained worldwide attention the past several weeks through a webcam situated above their nest.
