RIVERSIDE – (INT) – Officials are looking for a better way to demystify the Riverside County budget as it’s being prepared for fiscal 2025-26.

A new guide, “Budget 101: The County Budget Explained,” breaks down proposed expenditures in a way that is clear, simple and relevant to everyday life.

County supervisors are stepping up their efforts to engage more residents to provide feedback on community needs and priorities.

“When residents are informed, they’re empowered to participate—and that leads to better policy decisions and stronger communities,” County Executive Officer Jeff Van Wagenen said.

He encourages to check out Budget 101 guide online at www.RivCo.org/budget in both English and Spanish.
