Surfing venue selected for ’28 summer olympics ![]() SAN ONOFRE – (INT) One of the world's most legendary surfing spots will take center stage during the 2028 Summer Olympics.
LA28 announced today that the iconic Trestles Beach near San Clemente will stage the Olympic surfing competition. Trestles, part of San Onofre State Beach, has long been revered for its consistent, high-quality waves that attract beginners and pro surfers alike. “We’re looking forward to welcoming the world to explore and bask in all that makes our state a global leader,” said Governor Gavin Newsom.
