Julian quake aftershocks fade ![]() JULIAN – (INT) – Aftershocks from Monday’s earthquake in the mountains of northeast San Diego County continue to fade.
The M5.2 quake appears to have been the strongest in that area near Julian since Cal Tech’s records began in 1932. Seismologists have determined there was a 76% chance the April 14th quake occurred on the Elsinore Fault. Only a few aftershocks have occurred. But, there were 13 foreshocks during the 3 days prior to the earthquake within a 6 mile radius. Story Date: April 16, 2025
