MONTCLAIR – (INT) – The proposed extension of the LA Metro Foothill Gold Line from Pomona to Montclair is hanging in the balance. At issue are financial and logistical challenges.

Bids received for the short San Bernardino County segment came in significantly over the budget at $171 million, prompting cancellation of the initial procurement process.

Staff at the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority will determine if there are any budgeting issues that could jeopardize the use of state funding. Eighty million dollars was previously allocated.
