Three charged in child abuse, torture case ![]() VICTORVILLE – (INT) – The wheels of justice have begun turning in a Victorville child abuse and torture case.
Charges of child abuse and torture were filed Wednesday (May 14th) against Tina Marie Key, 60, Kenneth Key and their daughter, Katlynn Marresa Key, 23, all of Victorville. Prosecutors said the Key’s had subjected six children to years of physical, emotional, and mental abuse. The abuse included daily beatings, strangulation to the point of unconsciousness, and punishments of withholding food and water from the children for a period of days. The children were age 6 to 16. They were in guardianship care, not foster care. An investigation began in February at a home on Helena Drive in Victorville and wound up on May 12th with the arrest of the Keys. In a news release, authorities declined to say what happened to them or where or how the torture and abuse came to be reported. The Keys are being held in lieu of $1 million bail---each.
