WRIGHTWOOD – (INT) – Wrightwood is becoming more than a winter sports destination.

A downhill mountain bike park opens June 14th at the Mountain High Resorts.

Construction of biking trails is unfolding in three phases, based on the degree of difficulty. Phase I consists of 8 downhill trails totaling approximately 8 miles.

Phase 2 is next summer involves of 5 more trails, equating to roughly 6 more miles of terrain, primarily more difficult to most difficult. Phase 3 is scheduled for 2027 consisting of another 5 miles of more difficult-to-advanced trails.

In addition to downhill trails, Mountain High is assembling a Skills Park where guests can practice their technique on small, stationary features.
