REDLANDS – (INT) – Witnesses to a police chase that ended in Redlands with the deaths of three people are being interviewed.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department has been tight-lipped about the June 10th pursuit of a motorcyclist who has been identified as Justin Sutton.

His motorcycle and a Toyota sedan collided on West Redlands Boulevard at Tennessee Street. Sutton, 26, and two people in the car were killed. They were identified Friday as Kenneth Stein, 56, and his passenger Loretta Frug Stein, 86, both of Highland.

The California Highway Patrol said the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s department initiated the pursuit of the motorcyclist, but details were not released.

A Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) has been assembled to probe the incident.
