California may not be the best state for a road trip this summer.

WalletHub compared the 50 states based on 32 key metrics and placed California 44th.

Minnesota was first and Delaware last. Rounding out the top 5 with the best bang for the buck are New York, Ohio, Utah and Louisiana.

WalletHub not only compared gasoline prices but the number of attractions and road conditions.

California did best in attractions but worst in costs.

Those on the road are encouraged to consider accommodations, activities and dining, all of which continue to be impacted by inflation. (INT)
