Disneyland revamps boarding privileges ![]() ANAHEIM - Disneyland has revoked Lightning Lane privileges for one of the Magic Kingdom’s most beloved rides.
According to Disneyland officials, Pirates of the Caribbean has returned to standby only and has been removed from the park’s lane-skipping Lightning Lane offerings as of July 1. Disneyland first added the ride to its list of Lightning Lane attractions in 2024 after losing two rides with line-skipping to renovations. In 2023, the park shut down Splash Mountain for a re-theme that has since been completed, turning the ride into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which opened last November. The Haunted Mansion closed for several months in 2024 to overhaul its outdoor queue area and add a new retail shop themed as Madame Leota’s carriage house, which has fully reopened, according to the Orange County Register Story Date: July 9, 2025
