What’s in store for California’s winter?
SOUTHLAND – (INT) - Another La Nina winter is shaping up for California and that could mean less than average precipitation.

The Climate Prediction Center (CPC) puts the chances at of a La Nina at 71 percent through December. “Thereafter, La Niña is favored but chances decrease to 54% through February 2026”, the CPC predicted.

The outlook is based on recently observed water temperature trends across the surface and subsurface equatorial Pacific.

California’s so-called ‘rainy season’ runs from November through March.
