Diversity rankings from top to bottom
It’s no secret that Californians are a diverse lot. But, a comparison with other states put the Golden State far and above.

WalletHub compared the 50 states across six key categories: socio-economic, cultural, economic, household, religious and political diversity.

California ranks at the top for linguistic diversity, racial & ethnic diversity and educational-attainment diversity.

America is undergoing an extreme makeover, thanks to rapid demographic diversification. For example, the percentage of people in the U.S. who are multiracial increased from just 2.9% in 2010 to 10.2% in 2020.

The top – 4 least diverse states are Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and West Virginia.

Demographers say America will be more colorful than ever by 2045, at which point no single ethnic group will constitute the majority in the U.S. for the first time. (INT)
