INLAND EMPIRE - (INT) - Gradual warming continues although afternoon temperatures will still be below seasonal average through the week.

• Stronger west winds Friday in the mountains and deserts
• Elevated surf and strong rip currents on south and southwest-facing beaches subsiding Friday

Another trough of low pressure moving onto the West Coast will tamp down temperatures as the work week draws to a close.

Breezy west winds will sweep across the mountains and the deserts on Friday.

Expect minor warming west of the mountains on Saturday as weak offshore flow develops, then another round of cooling inland for Sunday and Monday with Tuesday a few degrees warmer.
