INLAND EMPIRE - (INT) - A tranquil weather pattern in Southern California is likely to become more active.
A low pressure system off the West Coast will draw tropical moisture from weakening Hurricane Priscilla northward from Baja California into the Southland through Saturday. There are increasing chances for showers and a chance of thunderstorms. The National Weather Service has posted a flood watch for the eastern desert of Riverside County for into Friday. KEY POINTS • Showers and thunderstorms through Friday over the mountains and deserts. Chance of moderate to locally high rain rates. • Coastal basins and inland valleys, light rain and a few rumbles of thunder. Highest chance for widespread light rain and thunder through early Friday. Cooler weather is on deck Saturday through Monday. The Southland will get another shot at a chance of showers Tuesday and Wednesday as a low pressure system moves to near the West Coast. https://radar.weather.gov/station/KSOX/standard Story Date: October 9, 2025
