More workers now earn a minimum wage or higher
SACRAMENTO – (INT) - The California State Council on Developmental Disabilities (SCDD) is celebrating a historic milestone.

According to SCDD’s October report, 1,117 workers with intellectual and developmental disabilities have successfully transitioned from subminimum wage programs to jobs paying at least the state or local minimum wage.

“This is probably the most significant employment victory for people with developmental disabilities in our state’s history,” said Julie Gaona, Chair of SCDD.
