Dodger fans celebrate one of sports greatest championships
LOS ANGELES – The euphoria that grips Los Angeles may not soon subside as the City of Angels celebrates the Dodger’s back-to-back World Series victory.

Thousands filled downtown streets Monday to hail the victors, transforming the city into a sea of Dodger blue and white for the team’s celebratory parade. A rally at Dodger Stadium capped the team’s World Series run with a dramatic Game 7 finisher.

The celebrations marked Clayton Kershaw’s official retirement from professional baseball. As he fought back tears, Kershaw thanked the fans and his teammates for the last 18 years of his time on the Dodger lineup.

The Dodgers staged a stunning come-from-behind victory in Game 7’s extra innings to defeat the Toronto Blue Jays 5-4 and clinch back-to-back World Series. It went down as one of the greatest Major League Baseball championship deciders in history.
