Republicans licking their wounds after passage of Proposition 50
INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – The outcome of Proposition 50 could have consequences for two of the Inland Empire’s GOP representatives in Congress.

Corona’s Ken Calvert may be out of a job he’s held for 34 years. His district will disappear and become part of at least two other districts.

Darrell Issa, who represents a sliver of Southwest Riverside County insists the redrawing of Congressional districts won’t work. “The worst gerrymander in history has a fatal flaw. Voters get to pick their representatives. Not the other way around,” he said.

Issa insisted declaring “I’m not going anywhere. I’ll continue to represent the people of California — regardless of their party or where they live.”
