Storms keeping Southland weather unsettled
INLAND EMPIRE - (INT) - The first in a series of storms crossed the Southland Saturday setting the stage for two others in the coming days.
The storm delivered rain as advertised but little snow because of its subtropical origins. Rainfall totals to 7pm Saturday: Lytle Creek 4.60 Mt. Baldy 4.28 San Bernardino 1.45 Riverside 1.53 Ontario 1.56 Temecula 1.18 Apple Valley .70 Palm Springs 1.11 A weaker storm system, currently in the Gulf of Alaska, could add more rain showers and a better chance of snowfall for the mountain resorts Monday and Tuesday. Model guidance is in better agreement on the timing of this system producing a line of light to moderate intensity rain showers by late Monday morning into the afternoon. Still another could reach the Southland by next Thursday and Friday. There is no indication the warm, dry weather of last month will return anytime soon. https://radar.weather.gov/station/KSOX/standard Story Date: November 17, 2025
