Poll: Food insecurities worry Californians
SAN FRANCISCO – (INT) – Californians are growing more concerned about food insecurity.
A new survey by the Public Policy Institute of California (PPIC) found 30% of Californians say they or someone in their household have cut back on food to save money in the past year. In other findings, Californians support a wide range of policies to improve the economic well-being of the state residents, including a public health insurance option and increased government spending on job training programs. Nearly seven in ten expect bad times financially for the state during the next 12 months, yet three-quarters are at least somewhat satisfied with their household’s financial situation. The survey’s findings released Wednesday (November 19th) were based on responses from 2,306 California adult residents. Story Date: November 20, 2025
