Mortgage delinquencies rise in San Bernardino
SAN BERNARDINO – (INT) – Some San Bernardino home owners are not keeping up with their mortgage payments.

In fact, the city had the highest delinquency rate in California with nearly 14% falling behind the second quarter of this year, according to Wallet Hub. Compared to the same time frame last year, the rate was only 3-point-2 percent.

The mortgage delinquency rate actually increased in all but 13 of the 100 cities in Wallet Hub’s nationwide study between the first and second quarters of this year.

By comparison, San Bernardino ranked as high as Detroit and three cities in Texas.

The most prompt on-time mortgage payments are being made in the San Francisco Bay area with delinquencies under 3 percent.
